Save NJROTC in Middletown

The Superintendent of Education of Middletown, NY has recommended the elimination of the district's Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) program. This program has been an award-winning part of Middletown High School and the Middletown community for over twenty year.

The program cost the district less than $200,000.00 per year since the Navy provides partial reimbursement of many costs. Thousands have benefited--help us save MHS NJROTC!

We, the undersigned, call on the Board of Education of the Enlarged City School District of Middletown, NY to retain its Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) program for the benefit of current and future students.

Bonnie Alicea of Pine Bush, NY, an Office Manager for Tommy's Towing in Walden,and a lifelong resident of the area died Monday, October 20, 2008, at home. She was 37.

The daughter of John Joseph and Virginia A. Jacobsen Clineman, she was born March 05, 1971 in Commack, NY.

Survivors include her

husband Ovidio (Rob) Alicea and son Dustin at home Pinebush, NY

parents John & Virginia of North Carolina

sister Heather Levau and her husband Daimon of Middletown, NY

sister Jenifer Panagakos and her husband Rich of Middletown, NY

brother John J. Clineman of Walden, NY

grandmother Kathryn Jacobsen of Ridge, LI

in-laws Elaine and Jay Crampton of Washingtonville

8 nieces and 4 nephews

and her beloved friend Kate Hoornbeck

She was predeceased by her grandparents Albert and Rita Behr Clineman,and Harry and Edith Jacobsen

Visitation will be Friday, October 24, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St.Walden, NY.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 25, 2008, 10:00 A.M. at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY.

Reverend James Van Houten will officiate.

Cremation will be in Cedar Hill Crematory in Newburgh, NY.

mom and dad are in the new house. Dad has already made an attempt at growing the lawn it may actually come in before there first frost. If not atleasthe and Jerry got to play with the shredder. They have been pretty busy between work and getting things unpacked.

Mom has already said they are beginning some new funny unforgetables in the new house. they should have the computer in soon so I will let mom share those with you

New beginings

It's almost been a year but many new thing have happened to Mom and Dad.
Lets start From the big move.

Dad Got the house packed up and head south last AugustTo find work. Him and Mom are staying with His mom while they get work and get the work going on there property
He is working driving truck for tyson. He seems to like his Job and his boss is a nice guy.
Dad has a new pet Her name is Suzy 2 She's a chicken

Mom got a job at Family Dollar they opened up a new store in Harmony NC. She too likes her Job and gets along great with her fellow workers Patty and Wanda. Mom still has Colby. She has also found a church that she likes going to.

Just this last month Dad and Mom Found the house they want to put on there property. and everything has been moving right along since. The property got Cleared off 2 weeks ago. Last week wed they had the perk test done then Thursday they came in and put in the footings to put the house on. This week they are going to closing so with luck and prayer the house will be there and moved into by July or Aug.

Right now I am posting the blogger for them Mom and Dad will take over all the postings and pictures once they get the computer set up in the new house
